Recess in middle school

I just saw that Fairfax county now has recess for middle schoolers next year, which made me wonder if that's the norm in DC? Do most middle schools in DC have recess (and would appreciate knowing which ones don't)? I'm for it, for what it's worth.

| We fought hard for our middle school recess. There are a number of great groups on Facebook with resources for increasing recess and the reasons it is beneficial for kids to have free time during the school day. |
