Rec for psychiatrist in MoCo

DS is newly diagnosed with ADHD and medication was recommended. I’m looking to find a psychiatrist in MoCo to start that process, preferably one that takes insurance (BCBS) if at all possible. Any recommendations (or those to stay away from)?

we are having a good experience w the Chesapeake Ctr (out of network)

Try Healthy Foundations Group in Bethesda- in network for local CareFirst and Federal BCBS. We see a child psychiatrist via telehealth and manage medication. I will caution that the wait for an appointment can be a bit long.

I can tell you who NOT to go to: Potomac Pediatrics

We see Dr. Selassie in north Bethesda. I believe he takes BCBS. Crazy long wait time to get in to see him and he is often late but he’s been good and thoughtful in our experience.

Can you elaborate? Were thinking of switching for med management since this is our pediatrician office...
