Being from a Northern Virginia and being at private schools, my kids will not be able to get in. If we lived in Abingdon, VA things would be different. It's just a fact of life here in Virginia. It's been like this since I was applying in 1990.

As an alum and former NoVa kid with teens in a southern Va school system, I’ll take it! (Although I don’t really think it’s massive.)

I remember looking at a countywide breakdown and Nova counties were around 27%. It was for the whole year though and not EA or RD separately. Let me try and dig that out
