Life skills - Basic Home and Auto Repairs etc. for teens

Anonymous
Are there any classes like this for a teenager? I feel like some things are become a lost art tho yes you can hire someone to do many things we still should know how to do some basic things around the home on our own. Some aren’t lucky enough to have handy dads, uncles, grandfathers etc around showing them how to do such things. I know many grown adults are clueless these days and turn to YouTube videos to DIY but I’d love to see if there is an in person hands on class for things like this. I am thinking for home repairs, things like repairing a small hole in the drywall, recaulking a bathroom, hanging a picture, etc. For cars things like a changing tire.

I just show my kid as I do these things in the course of life. The bigger thing, I think, is that the kids see me figure out how to solve problems by researching and watching YouTube and not being afraid to try. That was how my dad was, and I have internalized that, even if the things we need to fix are different.

This isn’t cluelessness, this is smart. My friend jacked up his house and repaired the foundation — successfully — after intensive YouTube research.
