Yes - pretty much any mainstream conservative in a non-US western country would be a Democrat in the US. The US is more conservative than most western countries...particularly when it comes to unions, health care, taxes, and gun control. |

+1 My spouse is a Brit who has lived here for over 20 years. They have said that Dems here are more like the Conservatives in the UK. Of course, there are those who are much more conservative in the UK, more like our Rs, but by and large, the Conservatives in the UK are more like moderate Dems here. |

No UK politician would dare publicly state that they should have more access to guns. They would be a pariah. Totally opposite here. |
