| Binged the first three episodes last night. Given the premise, not surprised at how sad it was. Connie Britton was great. Anyone else see it? |
| I think this is on Apple which I don’t have. Bummed. |
|
I haven't yet, but after seeing the preview when I watched Shrinking, I plan to give it a try this week.
Is it being released like Shrinking, with a new episode available each week? |
| Very sad but loved it. Britton is one of the only naturally aged queens we have. |
Yes on both counts! By the creator of This is Us, similar themes of interconnectedness, family, love and loss. Cathartic, I needed the cry. But do hope some of the characters beyond Connie Britton and the boy become more dimensional going forward. |
They initially released the first three on Friday, and then looks like one additional episode released per week. I need to check out Shrinking too! |
| What is the premise? |
| plane crash and the boy is the only survivor. Sent to live with Aunt. He is deeply grieving his family, especially his older brother. |
| I LOVED the book. Haven’t seen the show. |
Worth a look, thanks. |
|
Wow, I loved the book. This will probably suck.
|
| Never heard of this nor do I care or have Apple TV. |
Wow, thanks! What would we do without commenters like you? |
| Loved the book too, glad the show is good |
Not by the creator of This Is Us. It’s by Jason Katims, who also produced Parenthood and Friday Night Lights, which explains why I really like Dear Edward. I did have to fast forward through some of the plane scenes since I absolutely hate turbulence. |
