In reading the forums, there is a lot of discussion about nursing homes. Anyone have experienced erience with acute rehab (PT/OT) following hospitalization. Any recommendations on positive experiences or facilities to be avoided. Discharge will be next week from Suburban Hospital in Bethesda. Thanks for your help! |
I know a couple of people whose parents have been at the one next to Sibley and seemed to be happy with it. I also know someone who was at Ingleside on a temp basis but not sure how easy it is to get in there. |
Adventist in White Oak was actually pretty good for my Dad. I was totally surprised because Adventist Rockville is terrible. |
pp 14:40 again. Depending on where you live, Bayview in Baltimore is very very good. |
Mount Vernon is EXCELLENT. My husband was just there for a spinal cord injury. |
Really? I heard good things about Adventist in Rockville. |
But don’t they prioritize patients from Hopkins? Same as UMD. |
Me too. |
Pp who said this. Yeah, we have been there a few times and it hasn't been good. Very restrictive COVID protocols, shared rooms, and staff that was very disinterested. The social workers especially were not helpful. |
And actually Shady Grove Hospital is quite terrible, where more or the referrals come from. Staff is really rude. If any of your parents get sick, for the love of God take them somewhere else. We have had decent experiences at Suburban and Holy Cross. |
I hope your DH recovers well. ❤️ |
