Based on a British show from 2010, this starts with a trial and through flashbacks, you understand what the accused is on trial for.
Each episode has a name starring, but the cast and the crime is never the same. It gives you just enough story in 43 minutes that it is worth a watch. Airing on Fox on Tuesday and on Hulu the next day. |
| I loved the first two episodes! The third was just ok, imo. Will definitely keep watching. |
| The man who played MM's dad on Suits is in it |

I couldn't deal with the first episode. School shootings are triggering for me. Also after watching so many great limited series - wrapping up one case in an hour feels like we are missing too much of the story.
I'll probably watch the one with Rachel Bilson though - love her. |
| Rachel has not aged well at all. |
Wendell Pierce- star from The Wire, Treme, Jack Ryan, and many other things. |
I pulled this up on Hulu to watch, and I thought I'd found the right show but it's a 2020 doc series called, "Accused: Guilty or Innocent?" But I'm enjoying that series anyway.

No one is in more than one episode. The actors change week to week. Back next Tuesday. |

The third had such terrible actors.
I think this might be difficult to sustain for an American audience. There are no characters or plot to become invested in. I've seen the show it is based on and liked it. But they need to step up the quality of actors before US audience will stick with it |

Whitney Cummings was amazing as the rape victim Brenda.
Nice seeing Rhea Perlman and Mary Lynn Raskub (sp) I loved this week’s episode. |

I really like the format of the show. It's nice I can watch whatever episode sounds good because there's no continuity to worry about.
Some episodes have been fabulous - Scott's Story (ep. 1 w/ the dad & son), Kendall's Story (ep. 4 w/ the father & daughter), and Robyn's Story (ep. 5 w/ the drag performer). Others have been meh for me, like the deaf storyline Ava's Story or Danny's Story. |
