Silver Spring International Middle School- threatened shooting

My DC attends the elementary school and we just received notice of this I our email. Although security is heightened- and this isn’t occurring at the elementary school- I’m not sure I feel comfortable sending my child in. Thoughts?

More details please? Schools often received threats that are not substantiated - they're pranks by students. Usually the Principal's email will say whether or not the police has made that determination.

There was an instagram post threating a shooting at the middle school. The threat was made yesterday for an incident on Friday. The elementary school sent us notice today. The Montgomery county police closed the case but there will be security and officers patrolling the area. Given how rampant these things are across the US and even though it didn’t occur at the elementary school- I just don’t trust these types of situations.

It’s very concerning to be going to the school that has constant shooting threats and stabbing threats there were police officers out side of the school
