My friend's DS is number 1 on the waitlist for his grade. Has anyone heard of someone getting in this late? I'm really hoping he gets in - my DS and hers have been friends since they were in daycare together.

My kid at ats reported that he just got a new kid in his class, so I’d say it is definitely possible!

I know kids who left over the summer and mid year. Families move out of the county. They applied hoping to find a house they could afford and couldn't, so left.

This late?? The list was literally just released. Kids will get in through summer.

The elementary lotteries haven't opened yet. I'm assuming they mean on the waitlist fort this year. The lotteries that just happened were for secondary.

Are you #1 on the wait list? Then there’s always a chance, since we live in an area where people often move. But the lottery will be re-rolled soon for the coming school year.

Lots of people move their child mid year for lottery spots, look at HB. ATS is a very good school with no achievement gap and it’s truly diverse. Also, those with several children; the oldest is the trailblazer for all younger siblings.
