2024 Girls Lax WCAC ISL Outlook

The worst ranking site ever. This is the same idiot who does the club rankings. He gives more value to goal differential than head to head wins. And who knows how he determines strength of schedule.
I go to IL for scores before this site.

I don't understand. #'s don't lie. It's like any metric based calculation. RPI. KenPom. It's 2024, not 1999. Teams can have a one off head to head due to many factors.

Let me guess....BI supporter still sore that GC put such a complete beat down on them. Is that goal differential still bothering you?

Luckily, the beat down only counts up to 10. Extra beatings don’t give the alpha any more points

So the 7-23 beat down only counts as a 10 goal loss? So why then is the BI guy so down on this website? It gave them 6 goals.

Nothing idiotic about math... Look, short term anomalies based on early season strength of schedule and goal differential resolve over a full season. Club rankings are pretty good actually.

And if there is a team that can beat GC this year, I'm not aware of them.

GC won because they deserved it. For years BI owned GC and never intentionally tried to run the score up on any team. BI lost a lot in 2 years of horrible mean girl coaching. New coach has them back on track and on the way up. They are 10-3 with 2 losses to teams in the top 6 in the country and should be proud.
I would like to say I hope the BI coach would return the favor soon but I believe she has more class then that.

Please, BI apologists, stop your whining and deflecting and accept your humiliating loss and move on.

If BI stinks what’s that say about Potomac and Visitation? I would throw in Stone Ridge, but I am guessing that some of you would say something about play dates and indoor don’t count.

I am not a BI parent but I definitely would not say BI stinks- not Potomac not visi. All the teams have good days and bad. Bi had a bad game against the best team near the dmv.

It is my opinion that the playing field will be more level next year- gc will graduate their top players- their underclass is solid but not the caliber of the ‘24 class. Gc does have the best goalie tho. BI looses many ‘24s and the ‘25 class has only a few good players. Potomac will be about the same. Visi about the same. SR probably the same. SSSA probably about the same. SJC will likely drop in play level with their ‘24 graduates and a weak ‘25 class.

It’s all one big cycle with similar teams showing up each year.

Let’s celebrate the girls’ successes this year, that the girls love the sport, we love to watch them play and be happy that they are healthy and happy!

Saying one of the local competitive team stinks is just not accurate.

I’m going to take wild a$$ guess you are a…GC parent of an underclassmen.

Next year SR and Potomac will both have committed Senior Cap Blue goalies, PVI will have a junior goalie who will be starting in her third year, Saints will have 2 junior goalies who both are on Capital, and Visi will have 2 Capital goalies.

Your goalie is good but she’s one of many very good goalies in the area. This year she is the goalie of the best team, not the best goalie. I’m sure she’ll be great - when she is an upperclassman.

Umm you should take a look at her stats. She is much better than visi, Potomac,bi, sr, pvi, sssa goalies regardless of year.

Not a gc parent.

It’s liar and yes, I suspect he is just a liar.

Should be a great one tomorrow when SJC travels to BI. Vegas has it at pick'em. Any predictions? What will decide it?

I didn't know this existed for girls HS. Damn, another set of numbers for me to obsess over. This pushes my daughter's team down by 10 spots versus the USA Lacrosse top 25 rankings, but honestly, I can't argue with the results. The top 40 look pretty accurate to me. I don't think they're quite as accurate as the club rankings since clubs don't have conferences that shield a large group of them from difficult teams.
