GC won because they deserved it. For years BI owned GC and never intentionally tried to run the score up on any team. BI lost a lot in 2 years of horrible mean girl coaching. New coach has them back on track and on the way up. They are 10-3 with 2 losses to teams in the top 6 in the country and should be proud.
I would like to say I hope the BI coach would return the favor soon but I believe she has more class then that.
Please, BI apologists, stop your whining and deflecting and accept your humiliating loss and move on.
If BI stinks what’s that say about Potomac and Visitation? I would throw in Stone Ridge, but I am guessing that some of you would say something about play dates and indoor don’t count.
I am not a BI parent but I definitely would not say BI stinks- not Potomac not visi. All the teams have good days and bad. Bi had a bad game against the best team near the dmv.
It is my opinion that the playing field will be more level next year- gc will graduate their top players- their underclass is solid but not the caliber of the ‘24 class. Gc does have the best goalie tho. BI looses many ‘24s and the ‘25 class has only a few good players. Potomac will be about the same. Visi about the same. SR probably the same. SSSA probably about the same. SJC will likely drop in play level with their ‘24 graduates and a weak ‘25 class.
It’s all one big cycle with similar teams showing up each year.
Let’s celebrate the girls’ successes this year, that the girls love the sport, we love to watch them play and be happy that they are healthy and happy!
Saying one of the local competitive team stinks is just not accurate.
