Someone posted in a wine thread that they drank boxed wine only now. We have a wine fridge but drink approximately 0.15 wine bottles a month. Last night I had to use apple cider vinegar in a recipe because I didn't want to open a bottle of wine for 1/2 cup.
I would probably have a glass of wine now and again if I didn't have to worry about wasting the whole bottle. I'd also want to use it for cooking. Boxed wine, anyone? |
| It works great for cooking or if you just want a glass every now and then. It's much better than it used to be, and the packaging keeps the air out, which makes it last much longer than an bottle after you open it. |
| Bota Box is pretty good. If you're a huge wine person who only drinks the best, you won't love boxed wine but if you're more ok drinking decent grocery storage wine for day-to-day drinking, Bota is great. |
| box wine will make you sick and hungover |

The inn at little Washington has box white wine that is very good.

I posted the boxed wine. All have bottles so you can taste them before getting a whole box.
All are dry. |
| Bota Box is good. Got me through the early covid days when I was counting my pennies! |
| If you just need a cooking wine and don't care much about the quality, you can keep a couple of mini bottles or one of those mini boxes around. I do that for the angel chicken recipe my daughter loves. |
Speak for yourself, lightweight.

Recipe please? |
| There are some decent wines available in cans and in half bottles. |
| Black Box is good. I don't buy any more though. I have no self control. |
| Mainly for alcoholics who don't care how their wine tastes. |
