| How do you feel about them? I am trying to get perspectives. |
| Please tell me you are trolling. |
| Don’t care. |
| No |
| never heard of it |
I am not trolling. I have a kid who is feeling uncomfortable and no one talks about this. I am looking for a conversation to see how people are reacting and if they have any thought process. |
I have never even heard of this. |
| OP I have taught in middle and high schools for 15 years and never seen this. Sometimes there is “dress like your administrator” day where everyone regardless of gender wears a sweater vest and a huge watch like Mr. B or “Hawaiian day” where some boys will show up in a grass skirt and coconut bra, but I’ve never hear of “dress like the other gender” day. |
| Might be fun but there is NO WAY mine would agree to it. |
| don't think this is real, but wouldn't care if it was. |
| I don’t know what this is, but my kids never participate in spirit days. Not their thing. Just don’t do it. |
|
2 teachers here and we’ve never heard of such a thing.
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume this is not a troll post. Can you elaborate, OP? What is the description of the spirit day that was put out by the school? |
Every spirit day is voluntary. Not required. You know what makes my kids feel uncomfortable? "Twin day" when if you don't have a BFF with cute matching clothes you cant participate. So they don't. Your kid can opt out. You don't have to make a big thing about it. |
|
It's usually called "Gender Bender" Day. It exists. You can Google it.
Used to be done just for fun, but it's now becoming a culture war topic. Your kid can always skip it. |
| Tell me that you're not in DC? This seems very outdated. |
