How to find a great estate attorney?

| Don't worry about affordable. If you need an attorney, it's worth whatever it costs. If the estate is simple, the partner will let an associate do most of the work to save you money. |

Yes, be careful with “affordable.” My relative went to a lawyer for a will and it only cost $200. Let’s just say, you get what you pay for.

My Dad used The Collins Firm in McLean VA. They did a great job setting up a revocable trust, and all the other documents like POA, Will, etc.
They were great to work with when we had to make changes due to my Mom’s dementia. And now they have both passed and have been a great help to me as I wade through everything. But not cheap! |

Why don’t you just make some calls to law offices, including this one? Whatever someone says here about cost is not binding and may not be reflective of your needs. |

Agree with recommendation for Debby Cochran. She did all of our estate planning. Without knowing your details you will likely be looking at $6k range. |
