9 week old puppy scared of other dogs

His little tail went down when he met another dog. Tips on how to make him more comfortable. I know slow and steady is the key here. Thanks

It helps if you know the temperament of the dog you're introducing your dog to first. When ours was a puppy he was happy to meet any other dog and sometimes they were friendly back and sometimes they would be, but then they'd snap or snarl and that scared him / wasn't a good experience.
