Spring baseball/t-ball for kids with special needs

Registration is still open for the Falls Church Kiwanis Little League (FCKLL) Challengers division, which serves children with special needs who are ages 5-18 (or 22 if still living at home and going to school), whether they live in Falls Church or not.

There is NO cost to families who register for Challengers. The mixed-ages team meets once a week, on Saturday afternoons, at Westgate Elementary in McLean, for a fun, positive, noncompetitive scrimmage with lots of volunteer support. Challengers is open to both boys and girls of any/all/no skill level; we aim to meet and support each player where they are.

Please note that unlike the rest of Little League, there is NO boundary/residency requirement for Challengers; ALL players are accepted regardless of where they live.

Opening Day is March 25 and we'd love for more children to join the group. Please spread the word to any family, friends, classmates or neighbors who might be interested.

Can you tell us the time? Also, are you looking for volunteers? My kids might be interested, they have played bball in the past but aren’t this year.

Scrimmages are generally on Saturday afternoons, but we won’t know the exact time until the full league schedule is set. However, we do have an arrangement that keeps our team at the same place and time, week to week, once said scheduling is done.

We enjoy a lot of support from former Little Leaguers and high school players, but more volunteers (ages 13+) are always welcome. We ask adults to go through a background check. If interested, please send a note to info (at) fckll {dot} org

We’ve done this program in the past and it is fantastic! Completely no judgement from anyone and super supportive. I’ve even felt support from the “opposing” team and coaches. It’s a gem!
