Vienna is one crazy little burb, every time you turn around there's a murder, robbery, domestic murder, busted white collar crime ring, and now an armed carjacking on Saturday night off of park street! Going to check my doors and windows!

Yeah, there was a carjacking over the weekend - rare in Vienna but now increasingly common in Bethesda and long a dime a dozen in NW and Silver Spring. What are you babbling about?

Wow. Right in the middle of a residential area, although Park is a major street. Notable that the perpetrators rear-ended the victim as a ruse to get the victim out of the car.

As atypical as a carjacking in Vienna is, how typical that the stolen vehicle would end up in Maryland and in Baltimore, its main city/hellhole, as well.

They were tracking the car by helicopter. The criminals initially heading to DC, presumably where they are from, but couldn’t evade the helicopter so they ended up driving it up to Baltimore where they felt they could safely ditch it.

Baltimore has enough issues, you don’t need to also try to erroneously put this DC-based carjacking spree on that city as well. And it very much is a DC-centered phenomenon.
