| Kid’s school asks to adopt a piece of garden to take care for the year, can I plant vegetables like tomato, eggplant, herbs, lettuce etc? Or are they restricted to evergreen or flowers or shrubs? |

| I’d think you’d need to ask the school that question. Unless you want to share the name of the school, nobody here will know what rules they have in place. |
