Do you consider 45 to be ‘old’?

Per posters on a health and medicine thread - 45 is old. I did not realize it was considered such (am nyc where maybe age perception skewed?)
Curious if this is generally considered such

I am fifty-three & looking back I think it is kind of old.

But when I was a kid - it probably was more “elderly.”
Lol. 👵🏼 👴🏼

To anyone much younger, it's positively ancient, OP.
I'm 42, so 45 doesn't seem so old now, but it sure did before

I think with the pandemic, we lost more than a year of our lives and it seems as if suddenly we're on the other side of a divide. And now we're older as well. Not fair, but I guess better than the alternative.

55+ her senior discounts and retirement eligible for some pensions.

45 is definitely knocking on the door of that cutoff, so definitely old. Not elderly. But old.

I’m 45 with a kid in kindergarten so it does not feel old but maybe?

Age is just a number. I'm 40, look young, feel young, act young, I don't hurt, I have energy. But I know people the same age who are none of those things and it's like we're at least a decade apart. It shows how self-care, attitude, discipline, privilege play a big role in aging.

I think it's old for having a baby, old for trying to get on the women's US Olympics gymnastics team, but not too old to go back to school, run a marathon, switch careers, etc.

A vast swatch of the population don’t think 45 is old. They are the 45+ set.

Very, very old.
