Would you tip for...

Ordered a treadmill. Paying $199 for "room of choice delivery." It will go inside, down one flight of stairs, then about 10 feet away. It weighs about 200lbs.

Would you tip for this? If so, how much?

Depends on what it is and how hard it would be to move yourself. Some things are more unwieldy than others because of shape or configuration. Also consider how wide and steep the stairs are.

Yes.

We tipped the men who delivered our treadmill.

ICYMI: they won’t get paid the $199 delivery fee you prepaid. Their employer gets that money.

OP here. Are you sure that's always the case? There were various shipping options: free curbside, $99 doorway, $199 room of choice, then $350 for assembly. Even with various tiers, the business gets it all??

The business gets it all and the employees are paid an hourly wage.

IMO, a person who can afford a treadmill and then an additional $199 for room of choice delivery, can throw $10 or $15 to each of the delivery people.

An hourly wage based on the expectation they will move treadmills. They are not doing something special for you. The company covers the truck, the gas, the insurance.

Yes. I’d probably give $20 or $15 each if there’s two of them.

Yes. Would tip as we are not cheapskates.

I would tip $10 to $20 each for this and am genuinely appalled at anyone who wouldn’t.
