I setup a new account with PersonalCapital based on advice here and am considering using their financial planner.

Anyone with direct experience with them? What should I consider before signing on with them?

I use their service to track investments but have never used their advisors.

I let one of their financial planners do a pitch on me. They completely ignored what I said was my top priority and were condescending. I obviously did not sign up with them for their financial planning though I do continue to use the app. J recommend getting a fee only planner through NAPFA or the XY Planning Network.

Same as PP. I track my accounts in Personal Capital, but I do not use their advisors. These are young sales people who read from talking points and do not take into consideration your actual goals. Avoid at all costs, literally.
