I was just at this giant last week |
| It says that once the tussle started, the victim unzipped their jacket and that revealed the Star of David. Does it count as a hate crime if the victim wasn't targeted for it? |
Not defending the attackers at all but it seems that the altercation started over a different issue. |
after that point it would . |
but then it continued with Antisemitic comments. If someone got into a tussle with a gay person not realizing they were gay then they find out they were gay then make anti gay comments during an assault robbery would you question it being a hate crime |
| According to another story they referenced Kanye west during the events |
| White supremacy must be stopped |
It did. However, it became a hate crime once the men started yelling slurs. |
Also definitely not defending the attackers in any way, and I am Jewish myself, but... is that really how hate crimes are supposed to work? They were already hitting him, not knowing he was Jewish. Suddenly it becomes a hate crime because they found out? |
you are not a lawyer obviously. Intent can be formed instantly . Intent can change during the commission of a crime |
According to court records, the suspect who was charged is a black male. I guess Black supremacy must be stopped too? |
|
I am sorry but I find this story funny in many ways. This Giant, BTW, is close to my house. McD is literally across the street from Giant.
- Eugene Thompson, who is also known as Michael Stewart (who does that?) - Thompson with a group of men causing trouble (again who does that?). Thugs hanging around Giant these days? - Police said they found and arrested Thompson, who had the victim’s keys, at a nearby McDonald’s. (again, who does that? you beat the sh*t out of this guy and have lunch at McD right next to the scene of crime?? Crazy times folks |
I believe it was sarcasm |
Drugs will do that |
