Your best butter lettuce salad recipe

My mother loves butter lettuce, and it’s her birthday next week. As part of her dinner, I always make a butter lettuce salad. I have my go-tos (one is the Modern Proper simple butter lettuce salad, another has a creamy tarragon dressing) but I’d like to expand my repertoire. Have any you recommend?

I like butter lettuce, chunks of avocado, bacon pieces, and vinaigrette dressing. Sometimes I add shrimp, lobster meat, or warm crab cakes .
This is one of my favorite meals, and I often make it with crab cakes for my birthday.

I'd add supremed citrus to the above. Maybe Cara cara orange or grapefruit.

I posted the same on the watercress post, Salad Verde from Via Carota (NYT and Simin Nosrat. It also has butter lettuce.

I love this and the presentation is really pretty especially if you slice the seared tuna before plating. Serve on a bed of butter lettuce: https://www.seriouseats.com/seared-tuna-with-nicoise-vegetables-and-garlic-butter-recipe

That looks like a good dressing.
I was going to ask why rinse the shallots, but googled it first and found this likely explanation:

I'm not usually a salad person and my favorite is butter lettuce with a dressing of lemon olive oil (or lemon + olive oil) and the Sadaf "Yogurt Dip" spice blend. It's so, so good together. Just add each to taste. I've also added thinly sliced radishes to this and it's great.

I love this https://smittenkitchen.com/2010/04/avocado-salad-with-carrot-ginger-dressing/ with butter lettuce in place of the Bibb. I would drink that dressing.

I came here to recommend the same (I use champagne vinegar). I love butter lettuce and I love complicated salads, but I find a simple vinaigrette is best on such a delicate green. The shallot/champagne vinaigrette is perfect.
