Looking for a preschool for our child to start in the fall of 2023 (will be 2.5) in Bethesda / Kensington area. Looking for honest / recent takes & experiences.
In addition to practical considerations like commute & convenience, the ideal place would offer both half day and full day options (so we can work up to latter). Our priorities are: - safety & reliability - nurturing, warm & dedicated teachers with small classrooms - focus on nature, creativity, outdoor play Several preschools in the area look just institutional & depressing from online photos. Some that seem like great options (Audubon, Acorn Hill) don't enroll until 3 years old. Worth waiting a year for the 'best fit"? Not sure how our childcare would work until then but we could possibly swing something with part-time coop type thing and then switch? Or would switching schools be more destabilizing? |
