| DH and I have an upcoming night away in Old Town ... we haven't been there in probably a decade. Would love some good restaurant and bar recommendations. We like cocktails, pretty much most kinds of food. We like cozy places. |

| Check out Captain Gregory’s. It’s very unique and cozy. You can do cocktails and they have small plates for dinner. |

Barca
Ada's on the River Hummingbird Vermillion Hank's Oyster Bar Oak Steakhouse Sonoma Cellar |
Barca is closed until March. While I like most of these, I feel like they are too cavernous to be cozy. Sonoma Cellar has metal chairs and TVs -- so not cozy and more like a place you just stop by rather than make big plans to go to. Vermillion probably comes closest. |
| I love Chadwick’s. It’s been the same cozy wooden atmosphere for decades. Perfect for winter. |
| Thompson Italian (in the old hanks oyster bar space) is new and was REALLY great. I could drink their olive oil - and i might next time (there’s an olive oil martini that had me intrigued). Execution was really great. |

| The People’s Drug is a fab cocktail bar. Food is more casual but tasty. |
I ate there recently too. Excellent. |
| Thank you everyone! Very excited for our culinary and cocktail adventure. |

Some of these suggestions are okay dining suggestions but NOT for a special romantic weekend away. Cross Chadwicks, Hank's, and Sonoma off your list for that-- maybe even Oak Steakhouse, too. I like Oak but service can be hit or miss. If you want to go the steakhouse route, 1799 Prime is far and above Oak for OP's purposes.
I have also heard good things about Thompson Italian but haven't been myself. |
| Caphe Bahn Mi is by far my favorite place in Old Town. |
