It’s a University in Miami, Florida. Can you be more specific please and you’ll get better responses? Or maybe try Google?

The kinds of things you can’t get from Google, pros/cons etc

Wildly overpriced.

Actually, if you google "pros and cons of university of miami" there are lots of hits.

Shortage of on-campus housing while they tear down one dorm and replace it, leaving many students with just expensive off-campus options.

Very loyal alumni. Used to be a party school. Some great students who go there for the merit aid may be underwhelmed by the overall intellectual tenor, but it’s probably a place where you can learn at a top level if you choose classes thoughtfully and make an effort.

Probably one of the best places in the country to become a schmoozer type of business person and make a billion dollars in traditional brick-and-mortar industries.

It's tied with Princeton on this ranking.

DeSantis is going to make your kid turn in their menstrual cycle.

Great awesome school.

Not a safe place for college students.

My child is very happy there but yes, housing is an issue. Go in with your eyes open.

Party school pure and simple. Students spend wayyyy too much time in skimpy bathing suits and barely there clothes. Very body-skin focused. Not a school for a truly serious student. Take a look at sorority promotion videos. Yuck.

The city is trying its best to become a tech hub. If successful, should certainly benefit the University. Believe merit is pretty good for high stats kids. Unfortunately DS wasn't interested. He cant ignore the "state".

My kid goes there. It is pretty much exactly how you would expect a private school in Miami to be.

The city of Miami did a very good job of luring FTX and you know the rest of the story. So much for trying to become a tech hub.
