| The guy who ran wmata into the ground |
That guy has to have the goods on someone to keep getting these gigs. He screwed up BWI and the airport immediately improved after he was fired by Hogan. Moves on to WMATA and we all know that story. Now he gets to screw up MARC, the MBTA, SHA and everything that is important to the economy of the state of Maryland. |
| Most of his appointments have been fine. This one is a disaster. |
| That's...a bad choice. Rare miss so far. |
| Who were the other possible candidates, though? |
| He did NOT understand the assignment |
| He left Wmata better than it was when he took over by a long shot. |
He was thrown out on his ear after the failed safety issues. |
You must be a new transplant if you think he ran wmata into the ground. Learn the history of wmata before he took over. |
Definitely true. He did a great job with a transit agency that was falling apart. He made a lot of capital improvements that were beyond necessary. I’m just surprised that he decided to work again. He left WMATA to retire and spend time with his family. |
He was not thrown out. He retired. |
| Rare poor choice by Moore. We deserve better than this guy. |
Greed. He’s collecting a massive WMATA pension and now hundreds of thousands more on top of that. It’s also important not to discount corruption because as a member of the Board he can help coverup all of the bad things he did as GM. |
| If Wes Moore keeps giving all these jobs away he’s not going to have any left for Tom Hucker or Hans Riemer. What gives? |
LMFAO. And are just all going to collectively forget Craig Rice exists? |
