Term Life Insurance Company - Medicinal Marijuana & Anxiety Applicant

Anonymous
Title says it all. What’s the best life insurance company for a medicinal
user with extreme anxiety? The offer from USAA was too pricey at $500+ per month for a 15 year, $1M policy. I’d like to shop around but am
not sure how to do that efficiently.

Try prudential, but with extreme anxiety and drug use you are probably at much higher risk of suicide and will be expensive to insure.

That's surprisingly expensive -- my 20-year term policy for $750,000 was $400 a month, and I've had type 1 diabetes for 30+ years, which (apparently) makes me about as good a risk for a life insurance company as if I smoked a pack of cigarettes a day. I'd shop around. Principal doesn't seem to care about occasional marijuana use, FWIW.

Use policy genius.

Consider discontinuing marijuana use and trying a more mainstream treatment, whether pharmaceutical and/or non-drug therapeutic approaches. You may find yourself more affordably insurable with a different approach to treating your condition. This may be a good time to re-evaluate with your psychiatrist or to obtain an opinion from a different professional who doesn't rely upon marijuana as a treatment modality.
