Is the Ride-On bus reliable?

My son takes the Ride-On to school, and it's the third time in a month the 47 bus has been so late that I had to drive him.
Where we come from the buses are more reliable, so this is a surprise. Is this normal in this area? |

It's tough to know because some drivers are punctual and others are not.
