I need to cater after game meals for a college team.
So far, we have people doing Chic fil A, Chipotle, Pasta, Chicken Parm/Meatball subs Looking for 3 or 4 more ideas. It does not have to be Boston specific but since there are so many colleges there, I thought maybe someone would have a specific idea in Boston. Thanks for any suggestions. |
| How many individual meals ? |
| Boston is large. What part? |
|
Grocery deli food such as individual fruit cups/bowls with a choice of either chicken salad or tuna.
Choice of fried or baked chicken & sides (KFC/Popeyes, etc.) Meals from Boston Market (could offer a wider variety). Burgers & fries or other sides. Arby's offers a variety of options. Look at their menu--you might be surprised. |

There are about 80 meals.
The location does not really matter because we can pick up or have it delivered. Boston is such a small city. Popeyes and KFC, didn't think of that. I will check out if they have catering or maybe we just have to order a ton. Lol, Boston Market.. so obvious! One thing is we have an issue keeping food warm. Many places will deliver right at game end so things are warm, or they deliver in warmers. I was definitely thinking of adding a roast beef sandwich option, ill look into Arby's (I didn't even know they still existed). |
| Also, sometimes we stay in Brookline or Cambridge because I like variety. So food from those areas would also be good options. |
It can be individual or platters. The pasta is usually in trays. |

Boloco is a local fast-casual chain (wraps and bowls) that I enjoy.
Arby's is disgusting, don't feed student athletes that. |
| We've had pretty good experience with Roche Bros. Check out their game day catering (wings, ribs, subs, salads, desserts). |
|
Chinese (or is that too hard to split?)
Wraps Kids might love italien hoagies, like chicken or meatball parm? Fish tacos/burritos? I would look for places with decent reviews on trip advisor, under the type of cuisine. |
I have no affiliation with Arby's, but the coupons that I receive in the mail show a greatly expanded menu that includes several healthy choice options. I was surprised, but I have not eaten at an Arby's recently. |

I'm not vegetarian, but you may want to add a standard pasta ( alternate red and white sauces) for each meal. Also, will you have tables? If so, maybe buy some portable food warmer pans w/ heat source.
Good luck - it sounds like an exciting opportunity |
| We did this and had an italin restaurant near the hotel where the team stayed cater a dinner which we served in a conference room in the hotel. |
| Men's team or women's? |
| This is when you have to question if D3 athletics is worth it at some schools that don't provide meals on the road. |
