gym membership fees

Anonymous
I wish more gyms would be transparent about their pricing.

Does anyone know the monthly membership fee at OneLife Fitness in Bethesda (formerly Sport and Health) and Equinox in Bethesda?

Thanks.

One life says $80-$90 on the website.

I joined last September and I pay $80 plus an annual fee of $75 or something. They have an initiation fee but they waive it all the time during promotions - get on their mailing list and wait for it if you care

All Onelifes are pretty transparent. You go to the website, put in your zip code and the price is there. Some are more expensive than others.

Equinox is around 200. If you go to the website and fill out the form to join you will see price options before you have to actually commit to anything - there’s a single club option or you can pay more to access all in the region.

I'm a member of equinox. It's 188 a month. You can often get them to waive the initiation fee. I wouldn't pay that.

If your employer belongs to gympass, you can sign up with gympass and you can use any gyms that are in the network of gympass. You can cancel gympass membership anytime without any penalties. Equinox and Lifetime are in the gympass network. Onelife is not. I pay $100/month with gympass membership and I can go either Equinox or Lifetime. If I purchase a $70/month membership, I can only go to Lifetime or lower price gyms but not Equinox.

Can you take all the classes at Lifetime?

Yes I do a yoga class almost every day. I pay $180/month. Ironically unlimited pass at my favorite yoga studio was $180/month. I was paying $90/month for a membership at another gym, plus the $180 for yoga. With lifetime, I am now saving $90/month, plus LifeTime closer than the yoga studio and gym were.

You get what you pay for. FREE is never good.

County buildings are old but we had updated equipment.

My experience is most, almost all of them now post their fees somewhere on their website although I know that wasn't always the case in past years, which I find highly annoying and suspect. Like what exactly do you have to hide that you won't post your fees.

How does MoCo always off free things or at discount when NOVA rarely does

Be careful with Onelife they are very hard to stop membership.

When we stopped ours at Lifetime they gave us no issues.

Onelife ugh...
