BCC graduation ceremony

Can anyone help me understand the process? Does each student get a certain number of guests? My in-laws are panning on flying in and I am just trying to plan.

My kid graduated last year and it was on the football field. We got four tickets. I understand that in prior years when it was at DAR Constitution Hall you only get two tickets.

I think last year everyone got 4 tickets and then they tried to collect extras people weren't using to redistribute to them to people who wanted them, or your kid might be able to do the same with friends.

There is a very good listserv for BCC so probably better to ask there.

For a second I thought you said BBC graduation ceremony and I got excited.

Four tickets total, it was unfortunate for our family of 7.

I think B-CC has made the on-site graduation permanent rather than doing it at DAR, which is way better from the perspective of getting there, etc. The graduation date should be announced in mid-February or early March at the latest, and ticket info comes out shortly after that’s done. 4 tickets are standard; if you want extra, there’s a form that gets circulated on the list serve and if you want extras, I’d fill it out immediately. Usually, the max people can additionally snag are 2-3.

If you’re asking about tickets because your grad had siblings, the graduation will also be live-streamed. I’d only say extra tickets are worth it for out of town grandparents, and anything else other than that can be a livestream situation.

Yes and remember that younger siblings will still be in school. We assumed our MS kid would want to go but he opted out on the day since it was hot and since he had a test.

The listserv gurus do a great job of reminding people that it's not necessarily a fun event for older people - seating is all in the sun on bleachers or folding chairs, and it runs for several hours, plus most people arrive early to jostle for seats. We had family come in for a party the weekend before and then travelled to visit other family the following weekend, and those parties were more memorable than the actual ceremony.
