What do you use and how well does it work? Does it just "melt" the makeup off and wash away? Do you ever get eyeliner or mascara residue under your eyes? How do you take that off? |
|
Ponds cold cream.
I have tried every expensive eye remover - they are either too runny or not 'strong' enough to remove the make up. The trick to Pond's is to not get it in your eye or clog your ducts. I think that is the problem with all of them. I like some of the disposable cloths but it seems so wasteful. |
|
I wear waterproof mascara.
Oil cleanse face and rub oil on eyes. That starts the melt. Second cleanse with a cream cleanser. Dry face then use micellular water in a cotton pad. Soaking cotton pad. Press to each eye for 10 seconds, then gently wipe. |
| I use Vaseline. Rub on gently, remove with soft cotton pad and warm water. |
| Micellar water for first pass on my eyes, then oil cleanser for my whole face. Then I wash my face normally. |
|
Micellar water on a cotton pad. Works better than anything else, and the cheap Garnier one is fine.

Estée Lauder gentle eye makeup remover I use a q-tip with it. |
| Almay oil-free micellar pads |
| Clinique Take the Day Off balm |
|
I use water soluble mascara and do not wear eyeliner. I just use soap (Cetaphil) and water. First I get my entire face, including lashes, damp with a washcloth, then I apply a small amount of cleanser to my whole face and use my finger tips to apply it to my lashes to loosen the mascara. Then I use the washcloth to rinse (and gently exfoliate skin) and gently pinch my lashes with the wet wash cloth to remove the mascara.
Also I don't put mascara on my bottom lashes. |
| White Dial soap. Take a shower at night. |
| I use the Estée Lauder as well, and I use a cotton round. Then I use an oil wash, i like the one from Trader Joe’s, then I go in with my regular face wash. If they is anything left over on my undereye then I go back with my Estée Lauder with a q tip. |
| Makeup remover wipes. |
The Estée Lauder with a q-tip gets everything off on the first try. I quickly noticed the cotton ball or tissue approach didn’t work. And I wear a lot of makeup and waterproof mascara. |

The Original Make up Eraser- love these- no products needed so no oily residues in and around my eyes.
