Matching tattoos

Well 4 years ago I promised my DD matching tattoos if she gets a 3.5 GPA…
Semester ends at the end of the week and she has a 3.7 gpa so hopefully it drops a bit, but what are some good matching tattoos ideas?

Full sleeves with realistic portraits. Or something like interlocking hearts or initials in a discreet place

DD (19) and I are getting matching tattoos of a lemon, small and discreet. It's an inside joke so it has meaning and it's something she really wants to do.

Is there something that has meaning for the two of you? I think that would make it more special.

There are lots of beautiful small tattoos you could do. Lotus flower, lavender, some other small flower sprig, etc. You could do ankle ones so they're only visible if you want them to be, or somewhere else like that. I want to do the same with my daughters!

Our family has experienced mental health issues including having a child/sibling attempt suicide several times - fortunately unsuccessfully. Not exactly matching but most of us have semi colon tattoos. The youngest plans to get one as well as soon as I agree that they’re old enough.

My daughter and I got matching tattoos for Christmas last year. We got small, stylized initials that are an inside family joke and honored her grandmother (my mother), who has passed away. It is special for both of us and we had a fun bonding time at the tattoo parlor.

Love this, PP. I am the poster who is getting the lemon with my DD. She has also had serious mental health issues. I'm sorry your family has gone through this, but I love the semi-colon family tattoo.

Oooff, this is the worst advice ever.

Sure, pick a discreet location, but DON'T GO SMALL

And don't go cheap. Cheap small tattoos are the ones that blur over time.

Remember: bold will hold. Strong linework and saturation will keep it looking good for decades.

I have a tattoo of my DD's favorite flower (a poppy) on one of my wrists, and she has a tattoo of my favorite flower (a peony) on hers. I like it because when I see mine I think of her.

My adult sons and I got tattoos with the same theme - trees - though each is different. I love the connection.
