A great loss and big talent
Rip |
| Not unexpected given his age and health history, but he was a wicked great musician. |
|
Yes, just heard this on NPR, where they did a beautiful tribute for him. We will listen to some Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young music at our house tonight.

Biggest regret was not seeing him when he played at the Birchmere a few years back.
I recommend his documentary, “Remember My Name” |
| Definitely in the top 5 writers of songs about a menage a trois. |
Whatever |
| Daddy or really sperm donor to Melissa Etheridge |
| One of the best Behind The Music episodes ever. Amazing he made it this far. RIP. |

More remarkable is the son he didn't know he had. James Raymond was given up for adoption by his birth mother in 1962 and became a successful jazz musician in his own right. When he finally contacted his birth mother in the '90s, she told him his father was Crosby. He said he always knew one of his parents must have been a musician. Once they met, James and Crosby performed and recorded together for years. You can hear when jazz chords started making their way into the music. |
| Just a plain old hippy |
| This hurts. RIP |
| Great interview with him on Howard Stern. Such an interesting guy, talked openly about his past. |
| Rise spirit in the wind. Till I see you again. |
| In other news, Keith Richards is still with us. |
