What lawyer jobs would you say are best for a highly credentialed, entry level attorney who is the primary parent for young children? |
Interlocutory attorney at TTAB. |
Federal govt - non litigating attorney who does policy work at an agency OGC |
Fed gov or trusts/estates. |
USPTO |
That's not entry level. You need to either have protected trademarks or examined them first. |
Entry level? That's tricky. In my experience, it is best to start in big law then move on to greener pastures, but hopefully someone has a great answer for OP. I like my transactional practice because I can do it remotely. |
Do you like IP? In the IP field, trademark examination is widely considered a good parent job |
Insurance company. Tons of state and federal refs to interpret but no overtime. Family friendly, often work at home |
Go through an agency honor’s program if you haven’t graduated yet. |
In-house counsel. |
Government by far! |
+1 |
In house job at a Trade association |
This is a great gig if you like the issues, but at least at my agency, we only hire attorneys with several years experience for program review positions. |
