If you have an incline treadmill.... can you do me a huge favor?

I would love to get an incline treadmill for our basement, but the ceilings are low. I'm trying to calculate how much incline I can get away with, even though I'm on the short side.

If you have an incline treadmill, what's the max height of your belt/platform? What's the rough height of where you walk from the ground (on an incline of 10 or 15)?

I'm a teacher, and getting to the gyn is rough except on breaks or holidays, so I don't know when I'll next be able to get to a gym and google is failing me with this research.

If you have a minute at home and want to help a stranger out, I'd appreciate any measurements you can share!

Yes, but most will be within a couple inches.

Yes, and if people post the brand treadmill they own it may help the OP determine which treadmill to purchase.

We have 7 (maybe slightly over but not 8) foot ceilings in our finished basement and my husband is 6'3, so I think he only has about a foot clearance if that. We have a horizon tread that when it's at a mid-level incline (like 8) my husband's head is practically up to the ceiling, so I would say the incline pushes the tread up a good 5-6 inches. I could measure the full incline to 15% if you want, but really it would depend on the brand you get. Luckily he doesn't run much on an incline so it's not an issue

I have a Sole treadmill (cheapest model, which I love). The deck is about 14.5 inches from the floor when inclined to 15.

when you buy it (at least from Peloton) they tell you how high the ceillings need to be for safe operations. try looking in the manuals (internet search) for the one you want.
