Boston University Visit Day

I'm trying to better understand what the Visit Day entails. BU's website describes it as 'Get on campus and learn all about BU! You’ll get to learn about the admissions process, visit a school or college, eat lunch in a dining hall, and meet our students!' but that doesn't seem like it would fill 9-3 which is the scheduled time.

Could anyone let me know what they did at a BU Visit Day and if it went all the way to 3 pm? Does 'visit a school/college' mean that you get to sit in on a class?

Thanks!

Just fyi, you don't need any special permission to eat in the dining hall at BU - it's open to the public. We grabbed lunch there after a regular BU tour.

We didn’t do Visit Day at BU, but at other schools it involved a panel of students, a tour, and meeting/visit with the college you intend to go to (which you don’t do on a regular tour). They usually also have a separate session for parents, which is informative.

FWIW, we DID visit BU (just not for Visit Day). The information session and tour went from about 9:00-12:00, then we went to the college my DC was interested in and had an impromptu tour/information session that lasted about an hour and a half or so. Add lunch to that, and that will get you to 3:00
