TTC and staying away from the heat

I read somewhere that exposure to excessive heat (like current weather in DC area) can undermine a woman's ability to conceive. Has anybody heard that too? I will be going through an IVF and wanted to make sure I take all the precautions.

I've never heard that. All I heard about heat was that it was helpful to put a heating pad on your tummy to increase bloodflow to your ovaries.

I've never read anything about heat being bad, but as someone who is doing IVF, I also worried that it might not be the best time. I have decided to go ahead, on the theory that there are many very warm climates where people who don't have air conditioning still have high fertility rates. If it hasn't affected them, then it doesn't seem like it should affect us.
