| I do oatmeal, brown sugar, and an 80 percent dark chocolate. If the chocolate is too sweet I can't tolerate the cookie. Plus salt on top. |

Oatmeal and a pinch of cinnamon in chocolate chip cookies is a revelation for me. Will try dark chocolate instead of semi sweet. |

For chocolate chip cookies, we still like Nestle.
But for oatmeal-chocolate cookies or a chocolate cake, we like chunks. Kroger's Private Selection Dark Chocolate Chunks are 62% cacao and milk-free. Aldi's 62% are the best regular price/deal ($1.95/10 oz in Nov 2022). |
I like those chocolate chunks. But apparently they are a seasonal item (no idea what season). They are back as of 2023 and I snapped up some. I like them because of the PP's description of the odd shapes making for better cookies. |
