APS Starting kindergarten mid-year?

Anonymous
We have some special circumstance where our daughter won’t be able to start her kindergarten in August of this year.
She will be able to join the class after winter break.
Do you think that’s going to be an issue?
Specifically in terms of making friends with classmates.
Academically I’m not worried as she already has went to preschool and knows how to read/addition/etc.

I don’t think it will be a problem op. Kids are incredibly good at welcoming new kids at that age. And most will all be new to each other at the beginning of the year so they’ll still be getting settled together.

I think my school had had 6 K students start/transfer mid-year, smooth sailing so far

I don't think it will be a problem. We are at a very transient school where kids from families in foreign service are joining and leaving mid-year all of the time.
