Why not just eat a couple of eggs? Eggs contain the best source of complete proteins and amino acids. I eat them after my workout. |
It is better to get it from whole foods, but if you would not fit your goal otherwise, have the shake. You need to hit your protein consistently. |
Ick, don’t drink those things. Much better to get protein from real food. Better for you in general and better for your liver and kidneys in particular.

Op here. I get 80G protein from foods. I need the shake to push me over that, I just can’t eat enough. My original question was if I should keep the shake on non workout days. Thanks for your input. |
Same! I get as much as I can through food, but usually add a shake or bar to get me to my goal. |
