7 week old low weight suspected allergies. Has anyone gotten insurance coverage thru BCBS for Nutramigen? If yes can you please walk me thru the process? Thanks so much

No. They will not cover it.
I’d post this in the infants, toddlers, and preschoolers section
Yes, they will cover it. You have to order it through a pharmacy I believe. I don’t know more info because I wasn’t able to get it covered due to the formula shortage. It was backordered at all the pharmacies that were in network.
Yes, they will cover it. Easiest way to do it is to order online through a medical supply company. Try Edgepark Medical Supplies. You will need to submit some paperwork first and your pediatrician will also have to sign off and fax back some forms, but once they have all the info you will be set up for monthly shipments. Good luck!
This is helpful thanks so much
We had looked into it but it was a huge hassle and the pharmacy price didn’t seem like it’d be that much cheaper compared to Target.
We used it for years between two kids. I never thought insurance would cover. They should honestly but they probably don’t. I remember it being expensive. Thankfully both my kids outgrew their allergies. Good luck to you.
