My 6 year old can't do anything

He has tried basically every sport and is terrible. Not interested in music or arts. He won't practice anything and I do not know what to do.

Maybe he's a standup comic. Maybe he'll be a surgeon. Or a plumber. Or go into real estate. You can't give up on him at age 6. Give him to at least 7.5.

Look, at least your 6 year old isn't shooting their teacher.

Come on OP, cut your kid a break.

I’m curious what people mean when they say things like this. Do you mean you signed him up and paid fees for clubs for like every sport? Which would be thousands of dollars? Or you just decided that he can’t throw, can’t kick etc?

I was like this (and still am). Eventually tried and excelled at horseback riding.

My oldest daughter same.

Although, her dad was the one that introduced her to the sport. It has been a wild ride. Horse parents are no better than soccer parents ugh.

OP HE'S SIX LOL...

Seriously just stop you are being ridiculous.

Do you know how many boys walk onto sports teams in HS sophomore year because they finally grow into their bodies and crush the year-round sports kids who have been training for years? Tons. Don't belive the hype on DCUM.

Ask me how I know... Division 1 LAX never played til sophmore year of HS.... Never.....

.1 Get the local park and recs guide (in Fairfax Co, that is "Parktakes")
2. Let your kid look at the offerings for kids in his age range
3. Let him pick a class to try -- if his choosing
4. Go to class
5. Maybe he likes it, nor not
6. Wash, rinse, repeat
7. He will find his muse, but you have keep trying
8. Don't look at your child as a loser. He has enough people at school who might see him that way, he doesn't need you as him piling on. Be his biggest backer.

He’s 6, you dolt. I started soccer when I just turned 7 and I was by far the worst one on the team. Ended up playing division 1 (not that that’s the goal). Worry about what he ENJOYS.

Get his eyes checked by a pediatric ophthalmologist.

You sound like a peach of a parent. You need to work on yourself, not your child!!
