Failing high school courses

My daughter isn’t doing very well this year, last quarter she failed English, science, and Spanish 1 class, 2nd quarter she failing Spanish and science, if she fails that 2 courses will she take next semester or over the summer?

She cannot get that many credits in over the summer. She can do some. Get her the free tutors.

She needs English to graduate. There is a summer credit recovery class she can take for that.

She also can retake classes next year.

Agreed that a tutor is a good idea. If you can't afford to pay for tutors, I recommend checking with her guidance counselor. There are free programs available in at least core subjects.

It's a good idea to check with her counselor anyway to determine if perhaps she should have a lighter course load or if there's something else going on that should be addressed.

She is in team- taught classes and has an IEP for learning disability and ADHD, and other OHI,
This year has been a challenge for her, for multiple reasons.

What's going on with her? Why is she failing? Shouldn't you be seeing she's failing at the interim period as well?

She can take the English over the summer. It’s much easier and it’s easier to help your kid. But just as an FYI, the summer school doesn’t always get the IEPs by the start.

She can also take multiple years of English in a given year.

If you can do anything to help get her grade to a D for second semester, she will pass the class. A D averaged with a F will be a D. Can the resource teacher help?

Use the tutor me service and get a tutor in each subject if you can 2-3 days a week.
