| It was my mother’s favorite book as a teenager. She came *this close* to naming me Sara(h), after the main female character. I tried to read it about 10 years ago but got bored and only made it halfway. The race aspect was dated, but it held up better than you might think. It just wasn’t groundbreaking in the same way I assume it was in the 60s. |
