We are transitioning our toddler from an au pair over the last couple years to preschool this fall at MSM. We'll have to see how it goes there after a year but I'd like to have some sense of options for the future as a backup plan.
What are the best options for another preschool if he doesn't do well at MSM? We're zoned for Franklin Sherman/Longfellow/Mclean public school K-12. Does it make sense to stay at MSM or similar school for K+? What are the best options for private schools nearby if we don't go public? We're only 5 minutes away from Langley School so that's on the radar. Thanks! |
Look at Congressional School |
Potomac is closer than Congessional and is a K-12.
I think MSM clearly would be better than public for K-3; beyond 3rd grade it would depend a lot on the child. If one really wants Langley/Potomac/Congressional, then the admission competition is not as difficult at K than at later grades, but all 3 have competitive admissions and get more applicants than there are spaces.. |
