What do you think of candidates knocking on your door?

Do you generally have a positive impression, or a negative one?

Negative. Get off my porch.

I don’t answer the door.

Better than Bible thumpers

I love when they stop by, as I am likely the most educated/political voter they will talk to. I question their points of view on issues that are important to me, and push back when they disagree. And, explain why I am either voting for them, or not.

So while I like when they stop by, I don't think they like stopping by! I'm definitely not what they expected when they knock

Negative. Do not ever knock on my door if you are trying to sell something

You sound delightful.

I like it!

It’s nice to be able to tell them to ear sh!t in person.

As a woman who is frequently home alone, I find it creepy.

I'm willing to talk, like others said at least they are not trying to sell the bible. Isn't it becoming an antiquated method though? No snark, it just seems to have happened less and less over the years.

ABSOLUTELY if they are the dem candidate I usually know them personally or I know their campaign manager and we chat for a bit. If they are GOP I grill them relentlessly until they say they have another engagement and have to run

I do too. I usually grill them relentlessly until they look visibly uncomfortable. Mostly though, I understand that they want to visit as many houses as possible, so my theory is that if they are going to waste my time I am going to waste theirs. I never let them off easy.

I find it invasive. Just post your stance and record on things and I'll seek that out when I'm prepping to vote.
