Dash mini-waffle maker/

Got one of those Dash mini waffle makers in a Secret Santa exchange. Does anyone have any good go-to recipes? Cleaning tips?

I use mark bottman’s buttermilk recipe, with butter. Any recipe w a smidge of butter and not too much sugar won’t stick, so you can just wipe clean.

We use ours for a quick egg. Scramble one, but it in. Instant breakfast in less than a minute

I don’t get why you can’t do this in a nonstick pan. Scrambling an egg takes a minute. And you can wipe out a no stick pan in 3 to 5 seconds. Probably not so with the waffle maker.

I make chaffles. Mix an egg with about 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella and you have a nice bread-like thing for sandwiches.

Comes right out. There is nothing really to clean.

We bought one specially to make Liege sugar waffles. My son is obsessed with them. More decadent and dessert-y than regular waffles.

For a larger waffle iron, I use 1/2 c Ghirardelli’s brownie mix, mixed with an egg, a little bit of melted butter, and a little water to make chocolate brownie dessert waffles. I’m guessing that this would make about 3-4 mini waffles.

Why do you cook scramble eggs in a waffle maker? And does the finished product have square patterns?

For cleaning as soon as I pull the last waffle I put a wet paper towel inside and close. It creates a ton of steam that makes it very easy to wipe off.

Yes. It's like an egg waffle. It's good and filling.
