If you are raising your child bilingual (book question)

We have given the last few new babies in our extended family board books with pictures of all the extended family and a repetitive line of text like “Grandpa loves Larlo. Grandma loves Larlo. Aunt Jenny loves Larlo.”

The next baby to be born will be raised bilingual English/Spanish with one parent speaking each language.

Would you do one book in each language? A book with both and either one above/one below or just one language and assume that the reader can translate?

I don’t think this matters much (bilingual household here). What’s your language OP? Do that one.

For this level of complexity, I think they can probably manage the correct translations without too much difficulty. Run it by the Spanish speaking parent of there are concerns maybe?

I vote for English and Spanish in the same book so the kids can see both when learning to read.

I just translate it in my head if it's something that simple. I would do both languages I guess but fwiw, that's what I do with English-language books
